Once again, the Illinois State Athletics Department will host a pre-game event at the "Top Shelf," located on the mezzanine level of the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, prior to Illinois State's first game in the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. Date and time for the event will be determined upon the release of the complete tournament bracket on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Tickets, which are now on sale to the public, can be purchased for through the Redbird Athletic Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000. The cost is $20 for TRC members and $25 for non-members, and beginning Feb. 23 all tickets purchased will be $25 per person. The number of tickets is limited. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and pop will be available, as well as a cash bar.
All-session tickets for the MVC Tournament are $110, and can be purchased through the Redbird Athletic Ticket Office or on GoRedbirds.com. The deadline to order all-session tickets is Friday, Feb. 20 at noon, or until the ISU ticket allotment is sold out.
The Redbirds (20-5, 9-5 MVC) currently sit in sole possession of third-place in the Valley standings with four regular-season league games remaining. ISU visits MVC foe Drake Sunday in Des Moines, Iowa. Tip-off from the Knapp Center is set for 6:05 p.m. CST, and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
