Illinois State point guard Lloyd Phillips will return to the team today and participate in Saturday's practice according to ISU head coach Tim Jankovich, but Phillips' status for Sunday's Missouri Valley Conference game at Drake Sunday is unknown.
"We hope Lloyd has worked through his issues, and is able to move forward," said Jankovich.
Phillips did not travel with the team in Wednesday's 70-68 win at Evansville. He has played in 24 games this season, including 22 starting assignments, ranks third on the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game. He is also the Redbirds' leading three-point field goal shooter with a 41.7 percent success rate, while leading ISU with 85 assists.
