In order to give the Redbird women's basketball team a home court advantage feeling at the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in St. Charles, Mo., the Illinois State Athletics Department will host a party prior to the Redbirds' first game March 13. Tickets for the event are $15 and can be purchased at the ticket office in Redbird Arena or by calling 309/438-8000.
The party will be held in the Matterhorn Room of the Sheraton Lakeside Chalet, the ISU team hotel. It will begin 2 ½ hours before tip-off of the game and will last for one hour. The Redbirds have secured one of the top-two spots in the tournament and will play their quarterfinal game Friday, March 13 at either 12:05 p.m. or 6:05 p.m. The party will feature an executive continental breakfast or a tailgate break snack buffet, depending on the time of the game.
