MURRAY, Ky. - Saturday's game between Illinois State and Murray State at Reagan Field has been cancelled due to rain and cold weather. The teams will attempt to play a doubleheader Sunday beginning at noon.
The Redbirds and Thoroughbreds split a doubleheader on Friday, with Illinois State winning game one 5-3 before dropping a 1-0 pitcher's duel in the second.
The Redbirds have had to alter their schedule in each of the first two weekends of the 2009 season and were forced to cancel the series finale with Belmont last weekend.
