MVC Championship Bracket 
NORMAL, Ill. -
The Illinois State women's tennis team is set to enter the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship (April 24-26) at Creighton's Koch Family Tennis Center as the No. 4 seed, as announced Tuesday by the league office. Illinois State will begin tournament play Friday (April 24) at 10 a.m., against No. 5 Drake in the quarterfinals.
After sweeping Valley opponent Evansville, 7-0, to end the regular-season Sunday (April 19), the Redbirds enter the Championship with an overall 13-9 record.
In the conference standings, the Redbirds tied with Southern Illinois and Drake for the No. 3 spot in the MVC, all with 5-3 conference records.
If the Redbirds win Friday, they will face the winner of the play-in game or No. 1 Wichita State Saturday (April 25) at 11 a.m. The play-in game will be between No. 8 Creighton and No. 9 Bradley Friday.
