The 2009-10 school year has begun at Illinois State and that means Redbird men's and women's basketball action on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena is not far away. ISU Athletics will begin taking online season-ticket renewals and new season-ticket orders August 24, at 9 a.m., at GoRedbirds.com.
The Redbird men's basketball team, led by head coach Tim Jankovich and senior All-Missouri Valley Conference selection Osiris Eldridge, is fresh off a postseason appearance in the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and are prepared to make a run at the Valley title this season.
For the men's basketball online season-ticket renewals, here are the prizes being awarded, along with the dates on which they will be announced on the department's Web site: two tickets to the Bradley game held in Peoria, Ill. (Aug. 31), four upper bowl season tickets (Sept. 8), $100 gift certificate to the Weibring Golf Club Pro Shop (Sept. 14) and $50 dollars in concession coupons (Sept. 21).
The Redbird women's basketball is also coming off a successful season that saw the team advance to the WNIT semi-finals. Led by head coach Robin Pingeton and senior guard Maggie Krick, the `Birds are looking to secure their third-consecutive Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship in 2009-10.
For the women's basketball online season-ticket renewals, here are the prizes being awarded, along with the dates on which they will be announced on the department's Web site: access to the Scholarship Suite at Redbird Arena for one game (Aug. 31), four season tickets (Sept. 8), $100 gift certificate to the Weibring Golf Club Pro Shop (Sept. 14) and $50 dollars in concession coupons (Sept. 21).
Paper renewals for both men's and women's basketball will be mailed at a later date, and the deadline to renew season tickets is September 18. Single game tickets will go on sale November 2 at 9 a.m.
