Harris finished the two-day tournament with a 5-over-par 221 (76-75-70) to tie senior teammate Stacey Miller for ninth place.
Illinois State came in sixth place out of the 14-team field with a team score of 909 (306-307-296).
"This has been an exciting week for Laura, who also has a birthday tomorrow," said head coach Darby Sligh. "She has worked so hard over the past few weeks and her efforts are finally paying off. She has changed a few things in her putting that have made her more consistent and effective on the greens. There are brighter things to come for this Redbird."
The Redbirds' next tournament is scheduled for Sept. 21-22 at the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky. The tournament will take place at the Cardinal Club Golf Course.
