A limited number of tickets are still available for the third-annual "Draw Down at Redbird Arena" event Saturday, October 3, 2009, sponsored by the Redbird Club and Illinois State Athletics.
The event, which will have a Caribbean flavor, begins with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the "Draw Down" will start at 6:30 p.m. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beer and pop will be provided, and a cash bar will also be available. Musical entertainment by Absolute Sound will be provided throughout the evening.
"Draw Down at Redbird Arena" is the primary fundraising vehicle, outside of the annual fund drive, for The Redbird Club (TRC), which provides funding for ISU student-athlete scholarships. T
ickets for the event are currently available by calling Redbird Athletics at 309/438-3803, or can be purchased online at GoRedbirds.com. The tickets are $200 apiece, with two adults permitted per ticket, and only 200 tickets will be sold.
Prizes for the "Draw Down" include over $2,000 in cash prizes throughout the night, a notable gift certificate from Whitacre's Furniture in Hudson, a Suzi Davis Travel trip for 2, season tickets, and the grand prize of $7,500 in cash. Patrons do not need to be in attendance to win.
