Illinois State fans looking to cheer on their Redbird basketball teams in St. Louis during the first two weekends in March can do so at a discounted ticket price if ordered before January 1.
Until January 1, all-session tickets to the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament may be purchased through the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office, or at GoRedbirds.com, for $110 apiece. After the New Year, the tickets will be $125 per person. The women's tournament all-session tickets are also available for $30 per person until January 1, with the price increasing to $50 each after the deadline.
Head coach Tim Jankovich and the ISU men's basketball team will attempt to play in their third Valley Tournament Championship Game in four seasons. The 2011 version runs from March 3-6, 2011, and will once again be played at the Scottrade Center.
During the 2011 event, Jankovich and the Redbirds will be staying at the Millennium Hotel in downtown St. Louis. The following weekend, March 10-13, first-year head coach Stephanie Glance and her staff will have the ISU women's basketball team ready to make its run at the Valley Tournament title. The women's tournament is held at Family Arena, in St. Charles, Mo.
