NORMAL, Ill. -
For the second-straight season, Illinois State will host Morehead State on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. The two teams will meet again Saturday, Feb. 20, at 4:05 p.m., as a result of the BracketBusters matchup. The game will not be televised by the ESPN family of networks.
The Redbirds, who own a 15-7 record this season, are 6-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Redbirds defeated Morehead State, 76-70, on Dec. 14, 2008, in Normal, Ill., and lead the all-time series, 3-1. The Eagles are also 15-7 on the season, but own a 9-2 record in the Ohio Valley Conference.
"I was really impressed with Morehead State a year ago, especially the play of (Kenneth) Faried," Redbird head coach Tim Jankovich said. "I know that Coach (Donnie) Tyndell has done a great job with that program, and this will be a good game for us."
Illinois State owns a 5-2 record in games created by the BracketBusters concept and selection process.
