NORMAL, Ill. - For the second time in three weeks, Illinois State senior Dinma Odiakosa was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, while junior college transfer Austin Hill earned his first newcomer of the week award, as announced by the league office Monday.

Odiakosa averaged 12 points and 12 rebounds per game for the week in two road wins. Of his 24 rebounds, 12 were off the offensive glass. He also shot 50 percent from the floor on 8-for-16 shooting, while adding an 8-for-13 (.615) effort from the free throw line. At Bradley on Feb. 9, Odiakosa grabbed a career-best 15 rebounds.

Hill came off the bench in road wins over Bradley and Creighton, but for the week he was tied for the team lead in points scored with 12 points per contest. Hill led the Redbirds to their first victory at Carver Arena since 2002, with a team-high 14 points. He finished the week shooting 9-for-18 (.500) from the field and 1-for-2 on threes. He also added seven rebounds, three assists, a blocked shot and a steal, averaging 24.5 minutes.

Odiakosa, Hill and the rest of the Redbirds return to action Wednesday night, when they host Missouri State in the first of three-straight home games. The contest against the Bears tips off at 8:05 p.m.
