Due to rainy conditions in the Tempe, Ariz., area, the final Illinois State softball game of the Littlewood Classic scheduled for 11 a.m. (CST) Sunday against Texas State has been cancelled.
ISU finished the tournament with a record of 3-1. The Redbirds (5-3) defeated Texas State, 10-4, No. 5/7 Arizona State, 10-9, and Rutgers, 4-0, before falling to Iowa, 7-1, Saturday afternoon.
The Illinois State softball team will have a week off before heading to the NFCA Leadoff Classic held in Columbus, Ga., Feb. 26-28. ISU will take on North Carolina State, Auburn, UMass, Radford and Mississippi State at that tournament.
