COLUMBIA, Mo. - Wet field conditions forced the cancellation of Illinois State's Children’s Hospital Invitational contest against New Mexico at the University Softball Complex in Columbia, Mo., Saturday.
The Redbirds (10-8) and Lobos (8-12) were scheduled to play at 5 p.m. CT but continuous rain showers throughout the day led to a cancellation of the tournament at the conclusion of the 1 p.m. CT game between Illinois and Bradley.
Illinois State will play a game Sunday, but due to the cancellations, the time and opponent maybe changed.
