COLUMBIA, Mo. -
The Illinois State softball team will return to the field Sunday afternoon to take on No. 3 ranked Missouri in the Children's Hospital Invitational. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CT at the University Softball Complex in Columbia, Mo. ISU's games for Saturday were cancelled due to poor field conditions.
Missouri leads ISU in the all-time series, 13-7. The last time the two teams competed was March 18, 2000, when the Tigers defeated the Redbirds, 5-1.
ISU will enter Sunday's contest with a 10-8 record after defeating Southeast Missouri State, 12-1, Thursday at the Southeast Softball Complex in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Missouri defeated New Mexico Friday, 2-0, improving its record to 14-2. No. 2 Arizona and No. 10 Alabama handed the Tigers their two losses.
