NORMAL, Ill. -
The Illinois State softball game against Wichita State has been cancelled due to continuous rainfall in the Central Illinois area. The game, which was slated to begin at noon, will not be made up after the two teams played both games of Saturday's doubleheader.
ISU won both games Saturday in five innings. The Redbirds defeated the Shockers, 9-1, in the first game and won the second game by a score of 10-2.
Illinois State will return to action Wednesday (March 31) as it hosts in-state rival Western Illinois. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., at the Marian Kneer Softball Stadium.
