Illinois State's Osiris Eldridge fired in 16 first-half points en route to a team-high 20 tallies, but it wasn't enough as Roger Brown's fell to K&D Rounds Landscaping, 86-78, in the championship game of the 2010 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament Saturday night at the Churchland High Gym.
Eldridge was on fire in the first half sinking 5-of-10 field goal attempts, including a 4-for-6 effort on threes. Eldridge's performance pushed Roger Brown's into a five-point lead at the half, but he was held to 1-for-4 shooting in the second half and Roger Brown's was outscored by 13 points in the final frame.
The Redbird star added five rebounds, a blocked shot and an assist to go along with his three turnovers.
In the three-day event, Eldridge scored 43 points, or 14.3 per game, while shooting 17-for-46 (.370) from the floor.
The 2010 NBA Draft will be held on June 24, 2010 at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
