NORMAL, Ill. - The start time for Illinois State's baseball contests against Purdue on Wednesday, and the series opener against Southern Illinois Friday have been moved to 4:30 p.m., as announced by the baseball office Monday. Both games were originally scheduled for 6 p.m.
Illinois State will meet Purdue for the second time this season, after previously defeating the Boilermakers, 5-2, in West Lafayette, Ind. (March 24). Friday's contest will mark the beginning of another Missouri Valley Conference series for the Redbirds, who are currently in first place with a 5-1 league record. The Salukis enter the weekend 5-4 in Valley play and on the heels of a Sunday win against Wichita State.
Wednesday is Dollar Day at Duffy Bass Field, with admission and hot dogs for $1. There are two promotions for Friday's contest - Greek Day and Family Day. The Greek chapter with the most members present will win free pizzas from Papa Johns, and a family four pack - two adult tickets and two children's tickets - for $10.
