Illinois State's Osiris Eldridge tossed in eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 76-66 first round win at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament Thursday night, as Eldridge's Roger Brown's team dropped Sales Systems Ltd., in the Churchland High Gym.
Eldridge converted four of 14 shots from the field and was 0-for-3 from three-point range. Six of his game-high 10 rebounds were off the offensive glass, while he also added an assist and three steals in 30 minutes of action.
With the win, Eldridge and the Roger Brown's team will face Portsmouth Partnership in the second semifinal Friday night at 8 p.m. CT.
