NORMAL, Ill. - The Missouri Valley Conference Champion Illinois State Redbirds will match-up with Vanderbilt at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky., as announced on ESPN's NCAA Baseball Selection Show Monday.
The Redbirds are the No. 3 seed in the regional and will meet the No. 2-seeded Commodores Friday at 2 p.m. ET. Top-regional seed and host Louisville will meet No. 4 seed St. Louis in the opening round.
Illinois State is making its third NCAA Regional appearance and first since 1994. The Redbirds have won 31 games under the direction of first-year head coach Mark Kingston and captured a share of the Missouri Valley Conference Regular Season Championship before going 3-0 en route to a tournament title last week.
All session tickets for the four-team, double-elimination regional are $90 for reserved chairback seats, $66 for reserved bleacher seats, $54 for berm and standing room tickets, and $42 for U of L students.
Orders will be accepted via fax throughout the week by downloading the ticket order form from www.UofLsports.com and sending the completed form to 502-852-0968. The form may also be provided in person at the U of L Papa John's Cardinal Stadium Phone orders will not be accepted.
All ticket orders placed via fax will be sent an e-mail purchase confirmation. It is imperative that you provide your e-mail address on the order form. U of L only accepts Visa, MasterCard or cash as payment. No checks will be accepted.
