Odiakosa Secures Spot on Memphis' Summer League Roster

NORMAL, Ill. - Former Illinois State forward Dinma Odiakosa earned a roster spot with the Memphis Grizzlies summer league team and will take the court tonight (Monday), as the Grizzlies open the NBA Summer League against the Atlanta Hawks at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, at 9:30 p.m. CT.

Odiakosa, who was a first-team All-Valley selection this past season and the league's defensive player of the year, averaged 12.8 points and a league-leading 8.7 rebounds per game for the Redbirds. He also led the conference in field goal percentage (61.1) and was the league leader in offensive rebounds per game (3.7). Odiakosa was also named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division I All-District 16 Second Team.

Odiakosa joins Osiris Eldridge as former Redbirds in the NBA Summer League. Eldridge is a member of the Portland Trailblazers.
