It is being reported that former Illinois State guard Osiris Eldridge has signed a contract with PINAR Karsiyaka of the Turkish Basketball League. Karsiyaka head coach Hakan Demir announced the agreement after radio reports and a story surfaced on a Turkish website, salsabasket.net. There has been no official announcement by the team.
Eldridge is currently on the Portland Trailblazers' NBA Summer League roster, but has not seen action in the team's first two games.
Karsiyaka finished sixth last season in the 16-team league with a 16-14 overall record and were knocked out in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
Eldridge, a three-time All-Valley first teamer, led the league in scoring with 15.5 points per game and he also pulled down four rebounds per contest during the 2009-10 season.
