NORMAL, Ill. - Registration for Illinois State's fall and winter hitting clinics and high school showcase camps is now open and available online, as announced by the baseball office Wednesday.
The Redbirds have again teamed up with College Baseball Camps to offer convenient registration on the web. Potential camp participants can access the registration site by clicking here.
Illinois State's first hitting clinic starts Sunday, Oct. 24, and is open to elementary, junior high and high school aged participants. Sessions will occur weekly for four weeks and conclude with a final meeting on Nov. 22. The second clinic starts Sunday, Jan. 16, and occurs weekly for five weeks. Each session includes four hours of instruction, and statistics will be recorded each week so participants can see their progress.
ISU baseball will also host two high school showcase camps on Saturday, Dec. 11, designed for serious high school players who want to find out what it takes to play at the college level. The pitching camp runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and the position player camp runs from 1:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Each camper will receive a comprehensive evaluation following the camp.
During each clinic and showcase camp, participants will be coached by 2010 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year Mark Kingston and Illinois State assistants who coached the Redbirds to their first-ever share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship and ISU's first State Farm Valley Tournament title since 1994.

The rate for each hitting clinic is $125, with a special discounted price of $225 for participants registering for both. The registration deadline for the first clinic is Oct. 22, and the deadline for the second clinic is Jan. 14.
Each high school showcase is $125, with a special discounted price of $200 for participants registering for both. The registration deadline is Dec. 8.
