The Stanley Cup -- the most revered sports trophy in the world -- will appear at 2010 Homecoming ceremonies, Oct. 16 at Illinois State University. Chicago Blackhawks Senior Vice-President for Business Operations Jay Blunk, a 1986 Illinois State alum, will accompany the Cup to his alma mater as the honored alum representing the School of Communication.
Fans will get a good look at the Cup when it participates in the Oct. 16 Homecoming Parade through campus, and in a special pre-game ceremony at Hancock Stadium before the Redbirds take-on the North Dakota State Bison in a Missouri Valley Football Conference game.
