NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head swimming coach Steve Paska and graduate assistant Jennifer Goldewski will be instructing Redbird swimming lessons and swim technique clinics on four dates, beginning Sunday, September 26th, at Illinois State’s Horton Pool.
Redbird swimming lessons and swim technique clinics will be held on September 26th, October 24th, November 7th and November 14th. Each date will have two sessions of swim lessons, open to ages four and up, and one swim technique clinic, open to ages 6-18. Competitive swimming experience is recommended, but not required to attend the swim technique clinic.
“Our goal for each swimmer is to gain a better understanding of stroke mechanics and techniques while having fun,” said Paska. “For younger swimmers, our goal is to encourage them so they reach the next level in swimming.”
The Redbird swim clinic will have a maximum 1:3 coach to swimmer ratio. Members of the Illinois State swimming team will also be present to help conduct both the swim lessons and technique clinic.
