ISU Schedules PINK Game Supporting the Kay Yow Fund

Jan. 10, 2011

NORMAL, Ill. - As a 15-year assistant coach under Kay Yow at North Carolina State, Illinois State head women's basketball coach Stephanie Glance is personally aware of the fight against breast cancer. Yow lost her courageous battle on Jan. 24, 2009, but Glance and Illinois State Athletics will continue the fight with a PINK game to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund on Feb. 12, when the Redbirds host Missouri State, at 2:05 p.m.

Not all the arrangements have been made for that date, but the purpose of the events surrounding the game will be to raise awareness for breast cancer and other women's health issues. There will also be halftime recognition of all cancer survivors in attendance, as well as an opportunity to learn about Coach Yow and what her vision for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund was.

Before the game, visit the Kay Yow website at www.KayYow.com, and order tickets for this special event at GoRedbirds.com, or through the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000.

More information about this memorable event will be released around January 31.
