Illinois State Athletics, in support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, will present a PINK game on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena Saturday, February 12, when the Redbird women's basketball team plays host to Missouri Valley Conference foe Missouri State at 1:05 p.m.
To coincide with the event, Redbird Athletics is selling $1 tickets, in addition to $1 hot dogs, pink lemonade and frozen pink lemonade.
An invitation is also being extended to cancer survivors (any type of cancer) to participate in a special on-court halftime presentation. Participants can print off this form to RSVP for the halftime recognition. Those who pre-register will receive a confirmation in the mail including two free tickets to the game and an invitation to a postgame reception with head coach Stephanie Glance in the Redbird Room.
In addition, the Alamo II and Country Financial are sponsoring the sale of Nike T-shirts for $20 each with all the proceeds benefiting the Kay You Cancer Fund. The same form that is being utilized for pre-registration of the halftime cancer survivor recognition can also be used for T-shirt orders.
The PINK game T-shirts will also be available for sale at the games leading up to Feb. 12, once they are received from Nike.
