Rosch Signs National Letter of Intent with Redbirds

Nov. 10, 2011

NORMAL, Ill. - Cary-Grove High School outside hitter Ashley Rosch, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic career and play volleyball at Illinois State, as announced Thursday by head coach Melissa Myers.

"My staff and I are excited about the addition of Ashley to our team." said Myers. "She has been part of successful teams both at Cary Grove High School and Sky High VBC. We believe her work ethic and versatility will be assets to our program and we look forward to working with her as she continues to develop her game."

The Fox River Grove, Ill., native has helped the Cary-Grove volleyball team to a spot in the Illinois 4A state championship this weekend. This will be Rosch's third trip to the finals, under head coach Patty Langanis. Her previous two trips have resulted in a state title in 2009 and a second place finish in 2010. Rosch has garnered numerous accolades including all-conference, all-area, and all-tournament selections throughout her high school and club career, as well as securing two AAU National Championships while competing for Scott Harris at Sky High Volleyball Club.

Rosch intends to major in secondary education.
