For the third consecutive season, the Illinois State Athletics Department has invited back some its former student-athletes to serve as Redbird Ambassadors for select regular-season home men's basketball games for the 2011-12 campaign.
Prior to tipoff, each of the Redbird Ambassadors will be available on the east side of the concourse to sign autographs and pose for pictures, before being recognized on Doug Collins Court during the game's first media timeout. As an added bonus this season, the department will produce a limited edition gameday program series featuring each of the selected Redbird Ambassadors for that particular game.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, the most-decorated football player in Illinois State history, Boomer Grigsby, will be on hand as Illinois State host UNC Wilmington. Jarrod Coleman will return to Redbird Arena Dec. 29, when the Redbirds host Northern Iowa, while Tarise Bryson will be honored during the Jan. 7 contest against Evansville
For the Southern Illinois game on Jan. 28, Randy Blair will return to Normal, Ill., while Todd Wemhoener will be on hand Feb. 4, as the Redbirds host Bradley.
Illinois State will host one more Redbird Ambassador during the SEARS BracketBusters game which will be held on either Feb. 17, Feb. 18 or Feb. 19. Once that date and time is officially announced in early February, the Redbird Ambassador for that weekend's game will be formally announced.

Any upper bowl single-game tickets for Redbird men's basketball through the January 7 game against Evansville, with the exception of the Dec. 3 contest against UNC Wilmington, can be purchased for $5 per person if the tickets are bought prior to the day of the game. Tickets bought on the day of the game will be sold for regular price - $11 for adult and $9 for youth.
