NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Illinois State's doubleheader against Belmont will begin at 11:30 a.m. today, instead of the originally scheduled 11 a.m. start. The extra half hour will enable the Belmont staff to prepare Shelby Park after rain showers last night.
The Redbirds won yesterday's rain-shortened season opener, beating Belmont 9-4. Following two rain delays, the game was called after the seventh inning. Today's double header against the Bruins will consist of two, seven inning games.
