Senior Hannah Deutsch was named Midwest Independent Conference specialist of the week for her performance against Ball State, Wisconsin-LaCrosse and Seattle Pacific.
Deutsch took first place on the balance beam with a career-high score of 9.925. She also took first place on the floor exercise (9.825) and fifth place on the vault (9.650).
Head coach Bob Conkling recognizes Deutsch's hard work this season.
"Hannah deserves this honor of MIC specialist of the week," Conkling said. "Scoring a 9.925 on balance beam is a very difficult task in itself, but also to win the floor title just shows how solid and consistent Hannah was for our team this week."
The Redbirds return to action Saturday, Feb. 26, against Texas Woman's in Denton, Texas at 8 p.m. CT.
