Redbirds to Take On No. 34 Nebraska, No. 75 Wyoming

Feb. 3, 2011

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State women's tennis team will travel to Lincoln, Neb., this weekend to compete against No. 34 Nebraska, Saturday, and No. 75 Wyoming, Sunday, at the Nebraska Tennis Center.

The Redbirds will be making the trek to Nebraska after suffering a tough loss to No. 50 Purdue last weekend, while enduring the third-worst snow storm in Illinois history, Tuesday.

Despite these obstacles, head coach Chris Hoover expects his team to be ready for action this weekend.

"This weekend is going to be a real test," Hoover said. "We haven't been able to practice much this week but we are excited to get back to playing some tennis. We're not really sure what to expect, but as always we are aiming for the best. We had some great matches at Purdue even though we lost, so hopefully we can pull through and come out with a win."

Play is set to begin against Nebraska, Saturday at 9 a.m., and will continue Sunday at 9 a.m., against Wyoming.
