Eagle Landing Final Results in PDF Format 
ORANGE PARK, Fla. -
After two days of tough competition at the Eagle Landing Invitational, the Illinois State women's golf team advanced to a tie for 13th place in the final round Sunday, after carding a 58-over-par 922 (312-310-300) at the Eagle Landing Golf Course in Orange Park, Fla.
The Redbird with the strongest third round was Rachel Powers, as the freshman fired a two-under-par 70; moving her from 74th place into a tie for 41st. Powers concluded the tournament with a 14-over-par 230 (79-81-70).
"Congratulations to Rachel on an incredible round of 70," said head coach Darby Sligh. "She played well beyond her years today, and this finish is huge for her confidence."
Katie Jean was able to advance during the final round as well, carding a three-over-par 75. Jean moved from 41st into a tie for 37th place with in-state rival from Illinois, Ember Schuldt. The sophomore finished the three-day invite with a 13-over-par 229 (76-78-75) to lead the `Birds.
Tying in 41st place with Powers, Terra Miller shot a five-over-par 77 in the final round, bringing her three-round total to a 14-over-par 230 (81-72-77).
"Today was the round we really needed," Sligh said. "Sure, it can always be better but we had many good things happen today.
Brianna Cooper tied for 56th place at the end of the third round, as the freshman fired an 18-over-par 234 (76-80-78).
Competing as an individual, Jordyn Wyzgowski dropped to a tie for 84th after recording a 14-over-par in the third round, giving her a 27-over-par 243 (82-75-86) total.
Hannah Bachman finished the Eagle Landing Invite tied for 90th place with a 29-over-par 245 (84-80-81).
Chattanooga held the only below-par score of the tournament, as the Mocs led the field by 33 strokes after firing a record-breaking five-under-par 859. The Mocs' Christine Wolf received medalist honors with a seven-under-par 207.
"We have a big tournament coming up at Indiana so we will be preparing for that immediately when we return," Sligh said. "We still have a lot of work to do but I am proud of the way we finished today."
The Redbirds return to Normal, Ill. for three weeks to prepare for the Indiana Invitational in Columbus, Ind.
