Take Part in 'Bark at the Park' on April 10

March 30, 2011

NORMAL, Ill. - Both the Illinois State baseball and softball teams will be hosting "Bark at the Park" Sunday, April 10 at Duffy Bass Field and Marian Kneer Stadium to bring awareness to Central Illinois Small Animal Rescue (CISAR).

The Redbird softball team hosts Northern Iowa at noon, while ISU baseball will conclude its three-game series with Creighton at 1 p.m. In addition, game tickets are good for both venues that day.

CISAR will have rescue dogs on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parking lot off Adelaide Street between the ISU baseball, softball and soccer complexes. Patrons will be able to interact with the dogs, and have the opportunity to adopt a pet.

This event is to create awareness for CISAR, and dogs will not be allowed into either the softball or baseball facility. For more information, please contact the ISU Athletics Marketing Office at (309) 438-3399.
