NORMAL, Ill. -
The Illinois State women's tennis team (5-6), will be looking to Aniko Kiss as they travel to Milwaukee, Wis., Sunday, April 3, to compete against Marquette (11-7).
Kiss was the only Redbird able to come away with a win against the Golden Eagles in the 2010 season, as the `Birds were topped by Milwaukee, 6-1. Illinois State enters Sunday's match after defeating Missouri Valley Conference rival, Bradley, last week, 6-1, in their first conference match of the year.
Head coach Chris Hoover and his team are looking to build off of the success they encountered against the Braves.
"We have had some trouble this season," said Hoover, "but, we played some great tennis against Bradley. We really never know if we are going to have a good day, or a bad day, but we are hoping for the best. I know if we play the way we are capable, we will do well Sunday."
Play against Marquette will begin at 10 a.m., CDT, at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in Milwaukee, Wis.
