The Illinois State baseball team will host in-state rival Illinois, Tuesday, April 19 at Duffy Bass Field, and it will also be "Pack the Park" day. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Admission to event is free with a "Pack the Park" coupon or text the keyword PACK to 71857 for a free ticket, which will be sent to their cellular phone. The first 75 fans in attendance will receive a Redbird foam finger, compliments of Redbird Athletics.
In addition, the first 500 students to arrive at the game are invited to a free cookout. Red Alert, the official student spirit group of Illinois State Athletics, is sponsoring the cookout. Current Red Alert members can renew their Red Alert for the 2011-12 school year.
