OMAHA, Neb. -
Illinois State's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament game against Evansville has been moved up to an 11:40 a.m. start at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.
Tuesday night's scheduled game between top-seeded Creighton and No. 8 Bradley that was postponed for Wednesday morning due to poor weather conditions finished just after 11 a.m., allowing the Redbirds-Purple Aces matchup to be moved up to 11:40 a.m. in an effort to avoid impending rain. The loser of the third-seeded Illinois State versus No. 7 Evansville game will be eliminated from the tournament.
The Redbirds lost to Indiana State, 5-2, in Tuesday's State Farm MVC Tournament opener, while the Purple Aces fell, 2-1, to Wichita State. ISU's Dan Savas (3-4, 4.02 ERA) is expected to face Evansville's Kyle Lloyd (4-6, 4.76 ERA) Wednesday afternoon.
