Summer Baseball Update: Court On Pro Career-Best Hitting Streak

NORMAL, Ill. - Former Illinois State third baseman Ryan Court is on a professional career-high six-game hitting streak for the Missoula Osprey, the Arizona Diamondbacks' Advanced Rookie Pioneer League affiliate in Missoula, Mont. Court has hit three doubles, two triples and two home runs since making his professional debut June 20.

Court's former teammate Corey Maines was relocated back to the Staten Island Yankees in Staten Island New York after one game with the Charleston River Dogs in which he pitched one scoreless inning, allowing just one hit and striking out two on Saturday, June 25. Also relocated was former Redbird Jeremy Accardo, who was designated for assignment to Triple-A Norfolk from the Baltimore Orioles.

Current Redbird Bryan Huff went 3-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs for the Lexington Snipes summer wood bat team versus Crystal Lake Sunday, June 26, Brett Kay went 2-4 with a double, a run scored and a walk for the Thunder Bay Border Cats versus St. Cloud Saturday, June 25, and Kenny Long pitched two shutout innings for the Orleans Firebirds versus the Bourne, Monday, June 27.
