Four-Game Canada Tour Awaits Redbirds

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State men's basketball team will play four games in four days during its upcoming foreign tour to Montreal and Ottawa, Canada.

The Redbirds will leave the United States on Monday, Aug. 8. The following night, Illinois State will open the tour against the Montreal All-Stars, a local club team, at Collège Brébeuf in Montreal, at 6 p.m., CT.

On Aug. 10, the Redbirds will embark on the Ravens' Nest in Ottawa and face Carleton, the 2011 Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) champions. That game will also tip-off at 6 p.m., CT.

The Redbirds will face Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) on Aug. 11, at 6 p.m., CT before finishing the tour the following night at Love Competition Hall against McGill at 6 p.m., CT.

A summary of each game, along with quotes from head coach Tim Jankovich and a Redbird student-athlete will be available on GoRedbirds.com. In addition, GoRedbirds.com will also feature a blog during the week, as the Redbirds share their experiences as they tour Montreal and Ottawa.

The Illinois State team will return to campus on Saturday, Aug. 13.
