Summer Baseball Update: Cox Wins Second Game for Bradenton

NORMAL, Ill. - Former Illinois State pitcher Tyler Cox earned his second win of the season for the Bradenton Marauders, pitching 1.2 scoreless, hitless innings with one strikeout Aug. 6, versus Jupiter. The lefthander has amassed a 3.22 ERA and a 2-0 record with 24 strikeouts for the Pittsburgh Pirates' class A Advanced Florida State League this season.

Former Redbird Kevin Dubler has collected a hit in all five games he has played in since his promotion to the Winston-Salem Dash. Dubler is hitting .375 with six RBI for the class A Advanced Carolina League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Meanwhile, Ryan Court is on a four-game hitting streak for the Missoula Osprey. Court is hitting .268 with 28 RBI for the Arizona Diamondbacks' Advanced Rookie Pioneer League team.

ISU senior closer Kenny Long finished the Cape Cod League regular-season with a 2-2 record, a 3.33 ERA and 30 strikeouts for the Orleans Firebirds. David Fallon, Brett Kay and Matt Mirabal are still playing for their respective teams in the Northwoods League. Kay is currently on a six-game hitting streak for the Thunder Bay Border Cats.
