Once again, Illinois State's Jackie Carmichael and Tyler Brown paced the team offensively as the duo combined to score 41 points in the Redbirds' 90-66 win over McGill Friday night at the Love Competition Hall.
With the victory, the Redbirds concluded their international tour with an even 2-2 record.
"I can't say enough how great this trip was for us, both on the court and off," Jankovich said. "We have improved so much. Tyler and Jackie were tremendous offensively. Our improvement on the defensive end has been really fun to watch too.
Illinois State held a 48-26 advantage at the half and never looked back. Carmichael led the Redbirds with 22 points, on 8-for-12 shooting. He also led the squad with three blocked shots.
Brown continued his torrid outside shooting, finishing with 19 points thanks to a 5-for-6 effort from three-point range. Brown also recorded a game-high five steals.
Jordan Threloff also added 10 points on a 5-for-5 shooting night and John Wilkins and Anthony Cousin each posted nine points apiece. The Redbirds shot 51.7 percent from the field and 10-for-19 from three in the game.
