NORMAL, Ill. -
The Illinois State men's basketball media day will have a new twist, when alumni and fans will have a chance to be a part of the day's events on October 13, as the Illinois State Athletics Department hosts its first Social Media Day live on GoRedbirds.com.
Social Media Day will begin at 3:45 p.m., live from the concourse of Redbird Arena. While Redbird players and coaches conduct interviews with local media outlets on Doug Collins Court, select players and head coach Tim Jankovich will join moderator John Twork to answer questions from family, friends, fans and classmates.
Redbird fans will have the chance to talk to some of their favorite players and Coach Jankovich through the help of the department's various social media platforms. Fans can submit questions via the athletics department's official Twitter and Facebook accounts or through the CoveritLive blog. Interested fans can also email questions beforehand to redbirdallaccess@gmail.com. If using Twitter, include #REDBIRDbasketball to make sure your question or comment is a part of the conversation.
All questions will then be answered by the players and Coach Jankovich through a live video feed, which can be accessed through the same screen on GoRedbirds.com the day of the event. To see a complete list of the players being interviewed and a timeline for the day, log onto GoRedbirds.com and click on Social Media Day located under quick links on the men's basketball homepage or click here.
