The Redbirds, who were picked to finish eighth in the league's preseason poll, tied for third in the conference race with a 9-9 record and an 18-12 overall mark.
Carmichael became the second Illinois State player in school history to lead the Valley in rebounding with 9.4 boards per contest. In addition to pacing the Redbirds in rebounding, Carmichael also led ISU during the regular-season with 13.6 points per game.
The Manhattan, Kan., native also led the squad in blocked shots with 37, which spurred his spot among the league's top-five defensive players. On the season, Carmichael has posted a league-best 11 double-doubles, including a 20-rebound and a 19-rebound effort.
In his first season at Illinois State after transferring from Marshalltown Community College, Brown ranked second on the team with 12.8 points per game. He was also Illinois State's most-prolific three-point shooter with a team-best 61 makes during the regular-season at a 43.3 percent clip.
Moore dished 114 assists during the regular-season, marking the most by an Illinois State freshman since Ron Jones' record-setting 212 dimes in the 1976-77 campaign. He also averaged 8.7 points per game, while sinking 41 threes, which ranks No. 3 on the team.
The Redbirds enter the 2012 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5-seeded Northern Iowa in the second quarterfinal matchup Friday afternoon at 2:35 p.m., at the Scottrade Center.
