Not only will the Rockford stop on the Redbird Road Trip feature Illinois State head football coach and Rockford native Brock Spack, but ISU men's basketball coach Dan Muller and director of athletics Gary Friedman will also be on hand at the Olympic Tavern Wednesday, May 30, from 5-7 p.m.
This event, which is being hosted by Illinois State Alumni Relations, is only $10 per person and includes heavy hors d'oeuvres and two drink tickets. Alumni and fans are encouraged to come out and interact with the Redbird coaches and staff.
Following the Rockford event, three more stops remain on the 2012 Redbird Road Trip.
Illinois State Athletics will be part of the ISU Alumni Relations event at the Peoria Chiefs game at O'Brien Field on June 16. The event is $34 for adults, which includes a game ticket and the Backyard BBQ, and $25 for children aged 3-10. Children two and under are FREE.
On June 24 and 25, the Redbird Road Trip will conclude in Chicago at two ISU Alumni Relations' events surrounding the White Sox and Cubs' baseball games. Spack, Muller and head women's basketball coach Stephanie Glance and department staff will be a part of these two events, along with Reggie Redbird.
The June 24 event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., at Bacardi at the Park, adjacent to U.S. Cellular Stadium, prior to the White Sox game against Milwaukee. The cost is $37 per person, which includes a lower box reserved game ticket, heavy hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages.
The following night, at the Goose Island Brewery near Wrigley Field, a reception will be held at 5 p.m. The cost at this event is $39 and includes the game ticket, appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks.
