June 27, 2012 NORMAL, Ill. - Fans who visit Redbird Arena this summer may notice more dust and noise than usual, as work on the Redbird Arena Locker Room Project is under way. Illinois State men's basketball head coach Dan Muller recently took walk through the locker room to update fans on the progress of the construction and to offer his thoughts on the work being done.
The project was funded with the help of a group of generous donors, including Tom and Kay Cross, Darrell and Karen Kehl, Larry and Karen Clore, the Don Franke family and an anonymous donor. Redbird Arena houses locker rooms for the men's and women's basketball teams and the volleyball team, which currently shares space with the women's basketball team.
