NORMAL, Ill. - Young tennis fans wanting to improve their skills on the court will have an opportunity to do so, July 9-12, when Illinois State men's tennis head coach Cris James hosts his high performance tennis camp at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts.
The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 8-18, and offers structured technical and tactical drill-work for competitive play. Coach James and his staff will help campers focus on proper footwork, movement patterns and show them how to stay in playing shape with daily fitness components. Players will also learn the scoring and technique involved with organized point/match play with hands-on instruction from the staff.
Instruction will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., each day, and the cost for the camp is $150. Interested campers can sign up by filling out the camp form in the quick links section at the right and mailing it in or by calling Laurie Retzer at (309) 438-3633.
