Redbird Cheer Clinic For ISU Football

August 22, 2012

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State cheer will host its inaugural Redbird football cheer clinic. The clinic is open to all Reggie’s Kids Club members on Saturday, September 1, from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. The clinic will be held at the Redbird Track and Field Complex prior to the football game vs. Dayton scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

For the cost of $10 per child, participants will enjoy a two hour, hands-on teaching of Redbird football cheers from the official ISU cheerleading squad, a halftime performance at the ISU vs. Dayton football game and one complimentary youth game ticket. Following the cheer clinic, a pizza party will be provided for all participants, courtesy of Illinois State Athletics.

Due to the clinic being held outside, parents are asked to make sure all participants are dressed appropriately, have water and wear sunscreen.

All attendees are also invited to attend Reggie’s Birthday Bash being held from 11 a.m. until kickoff at 1 p.m. on the North football practice field in Reggie’s Fun Zone.

At the bash, Reggie and some of his mascot friends will join Kids Club members, as they enjoy treats and inflatables provided by Fun on the Run. Select members will also have the opportunity to lead the team onto the field with head coach Brock Spack, become an honorary team captain for the day, become a junior reporter, and provide announcements over the stadium speakers and more. All game day experiences will be selected by Illinois State Athletics on August 30 and winners will be notified by phone before game day.
