NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State women’s basketball team returns to the court for the first time in over a week, when it travels east to take on Fordham, Sunday, at 1:05 p.m. (CST).

It will be the first meeting between the two teams. Against Atlantic-10 opponents, Illinois State has only faced off against Dayton.
In the three-games against the Flyers, ISU has a record of 1-2.

Against in-state rival Northern Illinois (Dec. 5), the Redbirds couldn’t connect from three-point range, as they fell to the Huskies, 57-52. ISU was led by Stekara Hall and Octavia Crump, as both set career-highs in scoring with 21 and 15 points, respectively.

She pulled down 10 rebounds and scored a career-high 15 points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field and sank three free throws. She also had two steals in the game in a career-high 34 minutes. Crump previously had a double-double against then-No. 25 DePaul (Nov. 18).

NO TREYS
The Redbirds went without a field goal from three-point range in their 57-52 loss to Northern Illinois (Dec. 5). ISU was 0-of-11 in the game, missing six three-point attempts in the first half and five in the second half. The last time ISU didn’t connect on a shot beyond the arc was last season against Bradley (March 15, 2013) in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, when ISU went 0-of-10 from three-point territory.

THE TOP-25
So far during the 2013-14 season, the Redbirds have faced two top-25 ranked teams with games against DePaul (Nov. 18) and
Penn State (Nov. 30). When ISU faced off against DePaul, the Blue Demons were ranked No. 25, while Penn State was ranked No. 14/13. Illinois State has never strayed away from playing ranked opponents, as ISU has played a ranked foe in 27 season in program history. The Redbirds two-ranked opponents are the most in a single season since the 2004-05 season, when they played three ranked teams.

TOP-100 NCAA RANKINGS
Alexis Foley is in the top-100 players in the NCAA (Dec. 9) in three-point field goal percentage. She ranks No. 63 at 41.4 percent and is No. 145 in three-point field goals made with 2.0 per game.
