NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State softball team's home game against Illinois slated for Wednesday, March 27, has been canceled due to snow. The contest will not be rescheduled.
The Redbirds have now had seven-straight games impacted by the weather, and have not played since March 10. The home- and Missouri Valley Conference-opening series against Bradley, March 16-17, was postponed, with make-up dates still to be announced. Then, two games from last weekend's three-game set at Creighton were rescheduled for Monday, April 22, while the third was canceled.
Next on the schedule is a three-game home series against Southern Illinois, Friday, March 29 through Saturday, March 30. The Redbirds and Salukis will square off at 4 p.m., Friday, before playing a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at noon.
