NORMAL, Ill. -Redbird fans are encouraged to come out for Opening Day at Marian Kneer Softball Stadium Saturday, March 16, as Illinois State softball opens home play with a double-header against longtime rival, the Bradley Braves. The first game is slated for 12 p.m., followed by the second at 2 p.m.
As an added bonus, Opening Day will also serve as a Buck Day where $1 hot dogs and hot chocolates will be served at the concession stand if the weather permits. Fans in attendance will be able to pick up free ISU softball schedule magnets as the free give-a-way of the day while supplies last.
