NORMAL, Ill. - As another school year comes to a close, the Illinois State Athletics Department would still like to provide entertainment for ISU students on Red Alert Day at Duffy Bass Field, as the ‘Birds host Indiana State this Friday, April 19, at 6 p.m.
All students are invited to join a free cookout, complimentary of Red Alert, the official student spirit group of ISU Athletics, starting at 5 p.m., located down the right field sideline. Food and drinks will only be available while supplies last. A valid ISU student ID must be shown to receive access.
In addition, the first 200 Red Alert members to arrive at the cookout get a free tumbler that can be filled at the ballpark concession stand for $2.50. All members are required to show a valid Red Alert ID to receive a free tumbler.
Admission is free for the entire baseball regular season at Duffy Bass Field. For postseason play, Illinois State will play host to the 2013 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championships. Session tickets will be sold for $30 from the Illinois State Athletics Tickets Office.
